The “Braille Challenge” C1 Short-term joint staff training event, 13 December - 17 December, 2021 Liege, Belgium

Main objective of the project is teaching the parents of visual impaired children, teachers, and non-formal educators from NGO sector the characteristics of visual impaired persons and methodology of learning Braille alphabet.

 

C1 Activity will be LTTA for teachers from regular schools, who are working in inclusive environment or in their classes have pupils with visual problems.

 

Each organizations will bring 6 teachers from different cities in their country (that why we are asking for organizational support for the participants from leading organization).

 

The main goal of LTTA is to tech them how to make their classroom more accessible for visual impaired pupils, how to make their approaches better to meet the need of visual impaired pupils. We will put special emphasis on learning them methodology of teaching Braille alphabet, that why in exceptional cost we are asking for additional grants for buying Braille machines and paper, after the finishing of the project activities we will donate those machines to the pupils with visual impaired or the schools.

 

We will have practical workshop using Braille machines and paper. We will organized visit of one special school for visual impaired and one inclusive school.
